Sure Foundation is a training and equipping program that enables congregations to grow numerically and spiritually.
Designed for parish leadership (clergy and lay), it addresses issues of vision, evangelism, discipleship, every member ministry and much more! Sure Foundation also helps parish leadership teams develop a strategic growth plan for their congregation.
The program is primarily for groups of churches from a regional area (or diocese); however, individual churches may schedule a session provided there are at least 25 attendees.
Church leadership teams meet for training with Canon Phil Ashey of the AAC and other selected regional speakers. All Sure Foundation churches are asked to attend the introductory session titled “Plateaued and Perplexed: Getting our Churches Growing.” After this session, churches may choose to schedule any or all of the following training sessions:
Sure Foundation Leadership

The Rev. Canon Philip Ashey is the Chief Operating and Development Officer of the American Anglican Council. Canon Ashey provides legal and canonical advice to churches and provides pastoral care for clergy and other leaders. He is currently working on new educational and training materials for Sure Foundation and the Clergy Leadership Institute, both geared to meet the needs of all Anglicans seeking to be more "missional" in 21st century America.
He has been a member of the Governance Task Force which drafted the Constitution and Canons of the new Anglican Church in North America and currently serves on the Provincial Council. He served as Chair of the task force which formed the new ACNA Diocese of the South where he now serves as Canon Pastor.
Fr. Ashey is in his 23rd year of serving in the ministry during which he served many congregations large and small, led and participated in mission trips to Uganda and Kenya and taught at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA.
