Position: Rector
Location: Syracuse, NY
Holy Trinity is a small parish in Syracuse, New York under CANA and a member of the Anglican Church in North America. We are a just under five years old, and have grown to an average Sunday attendance of 35 people, most of whom are former Episcopalians. Our part-time rector of the last three years has retired, and we now have a part-time interim vicar on each Sunday. We are financially strong with a surplus of receipts over expenses each month. We are in a comfortable rented storefront in a commercial urban neighborhood, but we are looking for a more permanent location.
Our church needs a rector who will serve at least half-time, and who has a vision and the energy to grow an Anglican Church beyond being merely a remnant for former Episcopalians. He must be eligible to be a canonically resident priest in CANA under our bishop, The Rev. Julian Dobbs. Jesus intends that his church reach out to others, even when this means being uncomfortable. We are ready to do that, but we need a leader with the vision and drive to grow the church numerically and spiritually beyond our current place. As to other qualifications, we are open to candidates of any qualifications or experience from recent seminary graduate to retired clergy with many years of experience. Compensation shall be discussed between the candidate and the parish.
