EPISCOPAL WITNESS
A Lay Outreach Program of the American Anglican Council

In January 2006, the American Anglican Council (AAC) adopted and began implementing a new lay outreach program called Episcopal Witness. The program complements existing tools and resources offered by the AAC for equipping and informing the laity; however, the program is unique in that it is exclusively lay-led and lay-implemented. It is particularly designed for addressing the gap in communication with congregations where relevant information and resources are being institutionally restricted or stifled.

The Goal:
"The primary goal of this action-oriented program is to arm congregations and vestries with balanced information and resources to inform their dialogue in order to make decisions regarding the serious and divisive issues facing the Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion." --AAC Press Release
