What are the criteria for participation in the CLTI?
In order to participate in the CLTI, clergy must meet one of these criteria:
a rector of an ACNA parish with an average Sunday attendance under 100 and have less than five years experience in ministry or as a pastor.
or
have a bishop’s recommendation - a bishop may recommend someone who they think will benefit from the CLTI training.
Additionally, CLTI clergy must:
understand that the CLTI consists of three gatherings over approximately 18-36 months, with smaller accountability groups meeting in between the gatherings.
commit to corresponding, phoning and/or meeting faithfully with their accountability group.
agree to complete multiple surveys on their leadership development progress
agree to have their progress assessed by the staff and vestry of their own congregation as well as CLTI project leaders.
Ideally, there would be 4-6 people from the same geographic area to form each accountability group. These groups work best if the members are able to meet together in person on a regular basis.
A diocese or regional group may sponsor CLTI for its clergy. This is very helpful for facilitating access to face-to-face accountability group meetings.
